Roni Marsh
Roni spent her early childhood years in Quincy, a tiny town in the Sierra Mountains of Northern California. She hiked and back-packed extensively with her father, also an artist, who taught her a deep love and reverence for the natural world.
Now a resident of Medford, Oregon, Roni is now able to express her passion for the Pacific Northwest Landscape through her pastel and oil painting. Working on location as often as possible, she finds the urgency of capturing the fleeting effects of light both demanding and exhilarating. She strives to allow the resulting spontaneity to come through in all of her paintings.
Her work has been accepted into a number of prestigious National and International shows and she has won several awards. Most recently she was a finalist in the Jack Richeson 75 Small Works Show. Another of her entries received a meritiorious mention. Roni is a Master Signature Member of the Pastel Society of Oregon, a Signature Member of the Nortwest Pastel Society and the Sierra Pastel Society. She also holds a membership with the Pastel Society of the West Coast and the Oil Painters of America.
