Nancy Smith
Nancy describes her style as Romantic Impressionism. She chases the light to discover the beauty of nature and open spaces using primarily rich earth colors and visible impressionistic brush strokes to create her plein air paintings which are completed outdoors on location. Nancy's larger paintings are completed in studio using plein air field
studies and photographs for reference.
Nancy's work has been exhibited in Carmel, Monterey Art Museum, Woodside, Portola Valley, San Francisco, Aspen, Los Altos, Benicia, Crockett, Lafayette, Blackhawk, Walnut Creek and Ashland. Her travel to India and spiritual studies enrich her way of seeing and expression.
