                                              Picture
"l am in love with landscapes of the West; big sky, clouds, meadows, prairie, mountains, rivers. Whether I photograph or pull out my pastels, I look for the places I want to return to after the trip is over. I also enjoy converting my photographs into the dreamy quality of photo transfers, creating Mary and Buddha images on handmade tiles. All the images I photograph and paint give me a sense of peace, which I hope to share with the viewer" -Cynthia Daniel Wolf

                                              Image Transfers and Emulsion Transfers

                                              Image Transfers

Original photographs using 35mm slide film. Slides are placed in a slide printer that houses Polaroid 669 film. After the film is exposed the development time is interrupted and the negative is placed on prepared watercolor paper or silk to continue the development process.

                                              Emulsion Transfers

Emulsion transfers are completely developed Polaroid photos that undergo a process where the film is completely lifted from the photo paper and placed on another surface where it is stretched and manipulated. Also, colored pencils or watercolors may then be applied to the print. Both the image and emulsion transfers are limited edition Giclée prints from the originals on Archival water color paper using Archival inks.
