Painting since childhood, Oklahoma artist, Thomas Stotts has "always admired the beauty and mystery of the thunder clouds that would move in across the plains," and thus it was natural his work came to focus on, "the power and beauty of God's creation." Aside from creating dreamy acrylic landscapes, Stotts paints with a palette knife creating a thick texture with oils. Old adobe structures and stone cottages become part of the landscape inspired by Tom's travel.

He and his wife, Nicole Loffler, Ph.D., teach seminars and workshops in consciousness studies. Winner of an international book award in 1997 for his haiku poetry, he was honored in 2001 by being asked to write a commemorative book on human compassion for an event hosted by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

"Tiles are made of clay, clay comes from the earth, they are mixed, rolled out and cut into perfect squares. I turn them back into organic shapes. Shapes from the earth, flowers of life, spiritual forms. For a long time now I have been creating tile art for other people. It can be exhausting to give others my creative energy. These works are sacred to me. They have been purely created from personal growth. Traditionally, Mandalas are employed to focus attention and establish a sacred space, sacred geometry.
